Between 1861 and 1870, on the nort-east edge of the place François I, rose the Hôtel des Voyageurs, later renamed the Hôtel de Londres and finally called the Hôtel François I.
It is a vast building consisting of entresol and two floors whose elvation follows the curve of the Place. The elevation on the avenue Victor-Hugo replicates the essential of the decor of the façade on the Place and is bestowed notably with two caryatids : commerce and agriculture.
The interior courtyard is covered and has partially timber constructed garage with remarkable woodwork. |
